Automated External Defibrillators Market 2023 Trends | Exactitude Reports
Exactitude Consultancy Latest Published Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Market Research Report 2021 by Type (Semi-Automated, Fully Automated), Application (Hospitals, Public Access, Home, Training) And BY Region (North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, South America, Middle East and Africa) Global Trends and Forecast from 2020 To 2026.
The impact of the crisis has been significant, with many facing cash flow difficulties. Reduced spending and consumption capacity, operating restrictions and fear of contagion have all contributed to this. However, it is expected to recover in coming years.
Global Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) market include Philips, Zoll, Physio-Control, etc. Market is expected to grow at more than 8% CAGR from 2021 to 2026.
On the basis of Type, AEDs can be semi-automated or fully automated.
Semi-automated defibrillators evaluate the heart’s rhythm, and if an aberrant cardiac rhythm that requires a shock is identified, the device urges the user to click a button to give a defibrillation shock. They analyze the heart’s rhythm, and if an abnormal heart rhythm is detected that requires a shock, then the device prompts the user to press a button to deliver a defibrillation shock.
Fully automated defibrillators evaluate the heart’s rhythm and, if instructed by the device software, give a defibrillation shock without user participation.
AEDs are used in case of emergencies and the usage call cannot be pre-defined and is completely based on the patient condition. AEDs are used to resuscitate a person who has had a cardiac arrest. This generally happens when there is a disruption in the electrical activity of the heart, resulting in a dangerously rapid heartbeat (ventricular tachycardia) or a fast and irregular pulse (ventricular fibrillation). If you have one of these abnormal heart rhythms, your heart will not pump efficiently and may possibly stop. When this occurs, brain and other essential organs may not receive the blood and oxygen they require, and you may die if you do not receive treatment within minutes. The sooner heart’s regular rhythm is restored, the better your chances of avoiding lasting brain and organ damage.
